TL;DR: I don’t collect your personal data. This site uses privacy-friendly analytics (no cookies, no tracking) and is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes some technical data to deliver the website. That’s it.
What Data Is Processed
I don’t collect personal data directly. There are no contact forms, user accounts, newsletters, comments, or anything else that asks for your name, email address, or similar information.
Some limited data is processed automatically to make the site work and to understand general usage patterns, as described below.
Analytics
I use Fathom Analytics to understand how people use my site — things like which pages are visited and how many visitors there are.
Fathom is a privacy-focused analytics tool that:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not track you across websites
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not store IP addresses
- Is compliant with GDPR, CCPA, ePrivacy, and PECR
The analytics data is anonymous and aggregated. There’s no way for me to identify individual visitors.

Hosting and Content Delivery
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit the site, Cloudflare may automatically process certain technical data in order to deliver the website and protect it from abuse, such as:
- Your IP address (used transiently for routing and security)
- Basic connection information (such as request time and browser type)
I don’t store this data myself. Cloudflare acts as a data processor on my behalf. You can read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for more details.
Some of this processing may take place outside the EU/EEA. In those cases, Cloudflare uses appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

The data controller for this website is Alexander May.
Legal Basis
Under the GDPR, the processing described above is based on my legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving this website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data involved is minimal and does not identify you.
Data Retention
I don’t store personal data. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Fathom according to their own retention policies. Technical data processed by Cloudflare is retained only as long as necessary for security and delivery purposes.
Cookies
I don’t set any cookies. Fathom doesn’t use cookies. Cloudflare Pages doesn’t set cookies for this site either.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party services used by this website are:
- Fathom Analytics — for anonymous usage statistics
- Cloudflare Pages — for hosting and content delivery
I don’t use advertising networks, social media trackers, remarketing tools, or similar services.
